'This exhibition was a humorous and sensitive look at cattle because these huge beasts are beside me every day in all weathers and light. I have grown fond of their moods and presence from seeing how they engage with one another, noticing first hand their tenderness as mothers and gentle affection for the prize bull. The cows deserve our respect they are a brilliant source of inspiration for my new paintings and drawings alongside my more familiar flower images.'
